The Duncan Cooperative ribbon cutting ceremony - Renovation was completed in late October 2010.

Having done previous renovation documents for this building, PGN completed the recent remodeling of the 24 unit tenant-owned building, which includes new roofing & mechanical equipment, exterior wall maintenance, balcony facelifts throughout including railing & structural upgrades, bathroom plumbing & vanities, kitchen fixtures & finishes, lighting, and windows & blinds.  PGN Architects worked closely and diligently with Hamel Builders, the Duncan Cooperative Board, the tenants and Martha Davis of ONE DC to complete the $540K (original contract sum) renovation.

Mathews Memorial
Ground Breaking Ceremony

After a long time of land acquision and design / approval process, the church and the community accomplished this much anticipated event, the ground breaking of the Mathews Memorial Residential and Community Building development.

Amongst large group of participants, the speakers of the ceremony include Bishop Hudson, former DC Mayor Marion Barry, Mayor to be Vincent Gray, The Community Builders Inc. development team, representatives of the financial institutions and other joint investors that made the unique project financing possible.

The Beacon Center Green Charrette - October 2, 2010

PGN, the design team and members of the community participated in the Green Charrette, facilitated by the Sustainable Design Consulting. This a mandatory process for all projects seeking funding administered by DHCD, exceeding 10,000 sf of building area and 15% of public financing.  Project will comply with Green Communities and the goal of the charrete, was to prepare the project Green Development Plan and the Green Vision.
