Matthews Memorial Terrace
Matthews Memorial Church is a free-standing structure
currently located on a prominent hillside overlooking Suitland Parkway. PGN has helped the church and its
development partner The Community Builders realize its vision to revitalize the
Anacostia neighborhood where it currently exists. The project will provide 99 housing units which will be
distributed in three ways: 1/3 will be senior housing, 1/3 will be affordable
housing and1/3 will provide replacement housing for Barry Farms. A three-story community building will
be constructed adjacent and connected by an inviting courtyard.
